TOP-MEETG: Regularly-Scheduled Meetings

SCOPE: This procedure describes the regularly scheduled meetings that provide an ongoing communications structure to encourage problems, risks, opportunities and ideas to be brought forward and discussed, and to enable the company's activities to be monitored, coordinated and directed.

SUPERVISOR'S MEETING:

Every afternoon at shift change, the Manufacturing Manager meets with the supervisors from both shifts to discuss the jobs run since the last meeting, the jobs coming up shortly, issues that need attention, and ideas for improvement.

QUALITY/ENGINEERING MEETING:

Each afternoon the VP of Quality & Engineering meets with the key personnel in Operations and Engineering  to identify and address issues regarding quality, product development, tooling rework, and the scheduling thereof.

MORNING OPERATIONS MEETING:

Each morning top management meets to discuss (a) progress toward the Morning Operations Meeting agenda, (b) issues raised in the Supervisor's Meeting, (c) any accidents, (d) any customer complaints, and (e) any additional topic that a manager may wish to raise (f) review orders and identify problems.

WEEKLY SAFETY MEETING:

Every week each department supervisor meets with his/her crew and addresses the agenda suggested by the Training Coordinator.

QUARTERLY DEPARTMENTAL MEETING:

Each quarter the Manufacturing Manager meets with the managers, supervisors and all team members of each manufacturing department to discuss new developments, bring forward issues and solicit suggestions (see TOP-IDEAS).

QUALITY CONTROL MEETING:

The Quality Assurance Manager, Quality Control Forge Supervisor and Quality Control Machining Supervisor meet weekly to discuss training, quality issues, MRB open items, new statistical techniques, ideas and improvement opportunities.
