Coaches: Machining
Department Manager; Tool Designer
Team member's role and responsibilities:
- Setup and operate all tooling cell
machinery including Bridgeport type mills, engine lathes and saws.
- Work independently planning machining
operations of tooling components with minimal supervision.
- Light welding and brazing on
die/tooling components.
- Polishing and hand working of
dies/tooling utilizing hand held die grinders.
- Pour plaster casts of die cavities.
- Capable of handling multiple task.
- Operate in a safe manner and report any hazardous situations to any
coach.
- Strive to better themselves and the company.
- Review and become familiar with the company's TOPs Manual, especially
all TOPs related to this team position.
Rookie requirements:
- Math proficiency including trigonometry.
- High school graduate.
- Ability to communicate well with others.
- Work to shorten deadlines.
- Two years fixture fabrication or four years machining
experience.
- Completion of TOOL training
module within 90 days.
Physical activity involved:
- Some walking, extensive standing, bending, utilizing
electric hoist to lift parts, pushing and pulling.
