TFTP-DDIE: Die Shop Die Man

Coaches: Die Shop Supervisor,  Die Shop Lead Man 

Team member's role and responsibilities:

• Work closely with lead man so that work performed is one in accordance with shop schedule and to the specification dictated.
• Retrieve steel block from storage racks and place them on the proper machine to proceed with work required such as cutting, boring, shanking, etc.
• Be attentive to machining operation so that adjustments are made with specs.
• Carry out job assignments in a safe and efficient manner.
• Discuss with lead man any questions regarding job assignment; to learn how to operate various lathes and machines in die shop.

Rookie requirements:

• Completion of training module DSHP.

Physical activity involved:

• Prolonged periods of standing; some walking, some bending and stooping
• Some pushing and pulling of objects up to 80 lbs. Also turning die with die bar.
