TFTP-HTWK: Heat Treat Worker

Coaches: Post Forge Supervisor, Quality Assurance Manager

Team member's role and responsibilities:

• Control and monitor the heat treat furnace to properly heat forgings.
• Load heat treat furnace using proper equipment.
• Record furnace time and temperature on Heat Treat Log.
• Read instructions from Production Floor Traveler.
• Perform hardness test to verify heat treatment, enter data in SPC.
• Be sure heat codes are carefully tracked and tagged.
• Escalate unresolved problems to the Post Forge Supervisor or Quality Assurance Manager as quickly as possible.

Rookie Requirements:

• Completion of training modules: TEMP , PRNT , HARD and TRAC.
• Completion of forklift training.

Physical activity involved:

• Repetitive reaching, twisting and bending.
• Hot and noisy environment.
