Team member's role and responsibilities:
- Supervise maintenance personnel, assign jobs according
to production schedule and equipment requirement to support production shifts.
- Work closely with supervisors from other departments to
resolve their equipment needs to keep their departments operating so they meet
the production schedule.
- Train and develop employees within the department.
- Work to improve the PM scheduling.
- Work to improve the system used to maintain the
equipment.
- Ensure work is done in a safe and timely manner so as
to not jeopardize the safety of employees and equipment.
- Work with equipment vendors and outside suppliers when
necessary to resolve issues to ensure the production equipment is made
available for use.
- Become familiar with TOPS Manual, especially those procedures that
relate to the Maintenance Department.
Rookie requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent, at least 10 year’s
extensive maintenance experience working with electrical and electronic
controls as well as hydraulic systems..
- A good understanding of the company’s equipment in
terms of layout and characteristics.
- Familiarity with the use of a Maintenance Management Program (e.g.
MP2).
- Complete training module PMNT.
Physical activity involved:
- Extensive walking with some stooping, climbing, prolonged
standing, and exposure to heat.
