Production Control Manager
Team member's role and responsibilities:
- When jobs are released for production, coordinate the die
preparation, steel cutting, hammer scheduling, hammer setup and dies/tooling availability
to ensure "forge-by-dates" are met.
- Notifying Sales and all other affected departments when problems
arise which could impact the ability of production to meet "forge-by dates".
- Coordinate with shop supervisors on Die and Tooling Problems.
- Create and update production schedules.
- Ensure the Shipping Department is working closely with
Sales and Accounts Receivable Departments so all shipments are properly
documented.
- Assume the responsibilities of the Production Control
Manager when required.
Rookie requirements:
- Computer literate.
- Superior communication skills.
- Capable of reading drawings and working with complex written
instructions.
- Ability to work with multiple jobs and priorities to meet company
goals.
- A good understanding of how the steelyard, die prep, production, die
shop and scheduling work together.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Complete Training Module
FSAT.
Physical activity involved:
- Sitting, standing, walking, stooping, bending.
- Working in hot and cold conditions.
- Some prolonged periods of sitting in front of a PC.
