Department Manager
Team member's role and responsibilities:
- To use company tools and resources along
with personal abilities to minimize down time of equipment in producing
parts to customer's welding specifications and requirements.
- To exercise and develop good safety
habits to avoid injury given the hazardous situations involved in
maintenance work and production welding.
- To respond promptly to the various
request for welding equipment, fabricating, die welding, and other
equipment repairs.
- To work closely with Machining
Department Manager or lead man to receive instructions on the priority
of jobs pending.
- To help maintain an orderly and clean
welding area.
- To record heat codes, welding material
and customer specifications on Process Log.
Rookie requirements:
- At least three years of welding
experience in an industrial environment with some experience in TIG,
MIG, Stickweld, and Carbon Arc.
- Complete training module TAGS,
WELD,
TRAC,
and MATE.
Physical activity involved:
- Extensive walking, standing, some
lifting of equipment parts; some bending, twisting, reaching, pushing
and pulling.
- Ability to withstand heat in summer and
cold in winter.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
