Team member's role and responsibilities:
Table-QC Inspector I
- Report immediately all imperfections and deviations
from spec to QC Specialist and to Forge Shop Supervisor so they can take
necessary steps to bring parts into specs.
- Learn and follow safety rules.
- Become familiar with TOPs, especially the procedures
that relate PREQC,
PROQC,
POSQC,
NOCON, and
FTEMP.
Rookie requirements:
- Basic understanding of forging flaws that can be
detected by visual inspection.
- Forklift training.
- Complete training modules
COLD, RDNC,
QCNH,
and
PRTC
within 120 days of employment.
- Complete visual acuity testing.
- Must complete training on Match, Concentricity, and
Symmetry within 60 days of employment.
Physical activity involved:
- Be able to lift parts weighing from a few ounces to 50-100 lbs.
using hoist.
- Extensive walking throughout the plant 90% of the shift
- Bending from waist, stooping, lifting cold forgings.
- Exposure to hot and cold environments.
