TFTP-QIN1: Quality Control Inspector I

Coaches: QC Specialist, QC Supervisor

Team member's role and responsibilities: Table-QC Inspector I

  • Report immediately all imperfections and deviations from spec to QC Specialist and to Forge Shop Supervisor so they can take necessary steps to bring parts into specs.
  • Learn and follow safety rules.
  • Become familiar with TOPs, especially the procedures that relate PREQC, PROQC, POSQC, NOCON, and FTEMP.

Rookie requirements:

  • Basic understanding of forging flaws that can be detected by visual inspection.
  • Forklift training.
  • Complete training modules COLD, RDNC, QCNH,  and PRTC  within 120 days of employment.
  • Complete visual acuity testing.
  • Must complete training on Match, Concentricity, and Symmetry within 60 days of employment.

 

Physical activity involved:           

  • Be able to lift parts weighing from a few ounces to 50-100 lbs. using hoist.
  • Extensive walking throughout the plant 90% of the shift
  • Bending from waist, stooping, lifting cold forgings.
  • Exposure to hot and cold environments.
