Team member's role and responsibilities: In
Process Inspection-QC Inspector II
- Inspect parts and do SPC tasks
that will help determine if parts are out of spec.
- Inspect and chart dimensions of parts which are coming
off production process with at pre-set intervals.
- Report immediately all imperfections and deviations
from spec to QC Specialist and to Forge Shop Supervisor so they can take
necessary steps to bring parts into specs.
- Learn and follow safety rules.
- Become familiar with TOPs, especially the procedures
that relate PREQC,
PROQC,
POSQC,
NOCON, and
FTEMP.
Rookie requirements:
- Basic understanding of fractions and decimals and be able to read and
understand blueprints.
- Proficiency in using calipers and other measuring devices, and a
basic understanding of forging flaws that can be detected by visual inspection.
- Complete AQL training.
- Forklift training.
- Complete training modules
COLD,
HOTI,
MATH,
CHRT,
MEAS,
TEMP,
PRNT,
CMMB, RDNC,
QCNH,
PRCP
,
PRTC,
FSAT ,
FAIN,
GAGE, and
STAT
within 120 days of employment.
- Complete visual acuity testing.
- Must complete training on how and when to use radius
gauges.
- Must complete training on Match, Concentricity, and
Symmetry within 60 days of employment.
Physical activity involved:
- Be able to lift parts weighing from a few ounces to 50-100 lbs.
using hoist.
- Extensive walking throughout the plant 90% of the shift
- Bending from waist, stooping, lifting hot and cold forgings with
tongs.
- Exposure to heat from hot forgings and furnaces.
