TFTP-RHLP: Die Prep Helper

Coaches: Die Shop Lead Man , Die Prep Leadman more experienced Die Prep Worker

Team member's role and responsibilities:

To facilitate transition from job to job by providing proper tooling and dies on a timely, accurate basis.
Learn computer program for department.
Retrieve and store tooling and dies from old job.
Follow production schedule and anticipate dies that will be needed.
Retrieve from die stock the dies and trimming tooling that a scheduled job needs.
Stamp codes and make grinding correction on die according to blue print.
Coordinate with co-worker to set up trimming presses and have them ready to go when hammer set-up is completed.
Retrieve old dies and tooling and make them ready for storage.

Rookie requirements:

Complete training module PREP, DIST, DPNH, PRCP, DRPR, and TLSU within 120 days of employment.

Physical activity involved:

Extensive bending, walking, stooping
Extensive use of upper body strength to tighten large nuts; handling large wrenches 80% of the time.
Extensive pushing and pulling with both arms.
