TFTM-PNHT: Production Forge New Hire Training

Taught by:  Production Supervisor (Foreman) and designated experienced forging production employee

Objective:

bulletUnderstand how to properly use equipment safely and efficiently
bulletMust learn how to correctly use the tools needed to trim parts
bulletMust learn to trim parts safely and fast enough to keep up with production
bulletLearn how to operate forklifts safely
bulletLearn how to correctly set hot parts on trimmer
bulletLearn how to adjust the ram on the press
bulletLearn how to trim parts without damaging them
bulletLearn how to detect defects in hot forgings
bulletLearn not to mix heat codes or jobs

Syllabus:
bulletWatch Forklift and Traceability training films, pass forklift training written examination.
bulletWork with an experienced forging production employee until the Production Supervisor and experienced forging production employee are satisfied that the new hire can perform all tasks in a fast and safe manner.

Completion: Sign off by Production Supervisor and experienced production employee experienced in Forging Production that the new hire has been instructed and understands his/her job function requirements.

Notes: During the new hire's first 90 days of employment, the department Supervisor and Leadman will still be responsible for the new hire's safety and safety training.
