Team member's role and responsibilities:
- Perform all duties assigned by Shipping Department
Supervisor.
- Provide leadership in terms of training, safety, and
quality issues.
- Ensure Shipping Department is working closely with
Sales and Accounts Receivable so all shipments are properly documented.
- Substitute for Shipping Supervisor administratively in
case of absence.
- Work closely with commercial carriers to ensure parts
are shipped in a timely and cost effective manner.
- Strive to implement warehousing techniques that will
maximize use of space and facilities.
- Become familiar with TOPs, especially those procedures
relating to the Shipping Department.
Rookie requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- A minimum of one year experience in
warehousing/shipping or equivalent.
- Meet all rookie requirements for Shipping Helper and
Shipping Clerk.
- Complete training on forklift and crane within 90 days.
- Complete training modules
WHSE,
SPAP,
SBCT,
FSAT, and
HARD.
Physical activity involved:
- Extensive walking
- Be able to lift various parts weighing from a few
ounces up to 50 lbs.
- Some prolonged periods of sitting in front a personal
computer
