Manufacturing Manager
Team member's role and responsibilities:
- Supervise shipping department personnel and ensure team members are
carrying out assigned duties as per company's TOPs procedures.
- Provide leadership in terms of training, safety, and quality issues.
- Ensure Shipping Department is working closely with Sales and Accounts
Receivable departments so all shipments are properly documented.
- Work closely with commercial carriers to ensure parts are shipped in
a timely and cost effective manner.
- Strive to implement warehousing techniques that will maximize use of
space and facilities.
- Become familiar with TOPs Manual, especially those
procedures relating to the Shipping Department.
Rookie requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- A minimum of one year experience in warehouse/shipping or equivalent
experience.
- Complete training on forklift and crane within 90 days.
- Complete training module
FSAT.
Physical activity involved:
- Extensive walking
- Some prolonged periods of sitting in front of a personal computer.
- Lifting 50 lbs. of steel forgings and placing in containers.
